Last Will and Testament of Thomas Frost, dated September 15, 1815, filed September 23, 1822, Vol. 10, p. 382, Probate Judge, Chase M. Davie:

In the Name of GOD Amen.

I Thomas Frost of the township of Crosby County of Hamilton and the State of Ohio being weak in body but through the mercy of God of sound and disposing mind and memory: Do make and ordain this my last will and testament in form and manner following Viz I will that after my just debts and funeral charges are paid, That my worldly substance be disposed of in the following manner.

I give to my faithfull and loving Wife Elizabeth the use and occupation of all my lands and improvements so long as she continues as my Widow and one cow and one roan horse and her saddle.

I give to my sons John and Isaac all my lands after the demise or future marriage of their Mother, to be divided in such manner that my son Isaac shall have ten acres comprehending all the buildings to be laid off in a square and the remainder to be equally divided between him and his brother John according to quantity and quality reckoning the aftersaid ten acres as a part Isaac's share without regard to the value of the improvements; I give to my son William (after deducting the one hundred and sixty-five dollars which he has already received) an equal share of my personal property of the amount of the appraisal shall discover that any thing will be coming to him to make his share equal to the rest of my children.  I will that my sons John and Isaac do pay to my daughters herein after named the several sums given to each of them respectively at such time as my youngest daughter shall arrive at the age of eighteen years or sooner if they can agree on any kind of property in lieu of said legacy Viz To my daughter Hannah fifty dollars.  To my daughter Sarah Sixty four dollars Eighty cents.  To my daughter Martha fifty two dollars eighty cents.  To my daughter Elizabeth Sixty four dollars Eighty cents.  To my daughter Ann Sixty four dollars eighty Cents.  To my daughter Mary Sixty four dollars eighty cents.  To my daughter Pentheselia Sixty four dollars and eighty cents.

I moreover give and divide all my Personal property except such part as my be necessary for the payment of my just debts and funeral charges.  And one hundred dollars which I give to my son Isaac to enable him to perfect his education which has been prevented by incenant care and labour at home.

All the remainder of my personal property to be sold and the proceeds to be equally divided amoungst all my children Under the restriction as to my son William as mentioned in my bequest to him.  And I hereby constitute and appoint my friend Othniel Looker Esqr. and my sons John Frost and Isaac Frost Executors to this my last will and testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the fifteenth day of September Anno Domini One Thousand Eight Hundred and fifteen.
