Christopher A. Fuerst, 35, of Winston-Salem passed away Aug. 16, 2005, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born Oct. 5, 1969, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Robert and Ruth Ann Fuerst. He lived in Raleigh from age 3 until he married his wife, Kathleen. Chris graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a business administration degree and an MBA from Pfieffer University. He was the clinic manager of the Eye Center at Wake Forest University Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Franck Fuerst; son Michael; daughter Gabrielle; parents; brother Kenneth Fuerst; and two sisters, Katherine and Karen, all of Raleigh. He was Godfather to Kaitlyn Franck and confirmation sponsor to Michael Brett Walker. A memorial Mass will be conducted at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Our Lady of Mercy New Church Building Fund, where Chris was on the finance committee.
