The following information is a compilation of what Marriage
Records
of Hamilton County Ohio Probate records that The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints have microfilmed. Copies of the microfilm can be
sent
to your local Family History Library (FHL) for viewing. See the Family
Search website for details.
Some of these records have been transcribed by LDS (most of the "Restored" records & some of the "Original" records) and can be searched at Family Search website. You can search a particular volume (those with a Batch #) that has been transcribed in the following manner: A) from the main page at Family Search select "Search for your ancestors in our vast record collections" under Features / Search For Ancestors. B) In the far left column select "International Genealogical Index" (IGI). C) On the IGI page you MUST select "North America" in the drop down list under REGION and then just below that under BATCH fill in the # of the batch you want to search i.e. M513451. D) Enter the individual & or last name you are searching for. You can search for just a first name in a specified Batch as well. Once a list of hits is displayed, select individual hits to find additional information. Later years (1900's) may include names of parents for both parties. The individual hit pages will also tell you the "source" of the record (film #) and by following links from "source" you'll confirm what records these came from. REMEMBER, as with any transcriptions, there are possiblities of errors & you may want to order a copy of the actual record from the Hamilton County Probate Court (details under "Court Records") or have the corresponding microfilm sent to your local FHL to view (& copy!) the actual record. I will add Batch #'s as I find them. Please contact me
if you find any I missed or ones recently added. |
