"The information on the back of the Photo is as follows:
Printed is:
"R. M. Wilson & Co.,
Outdoor Photographer,
210 Central Ave., Cincinnati,
O"
Handwritten is:
"13th District School,
Findlay near Vine St.,
Cincinnati, Ohio"
Additional information is that the photo was taken in 1880. My grandmother Miss Elizabeth May Gerhardt was 6 at the time. She is in the second row with an ink "X" marked on her collar. I would imagine the other children are about the same age. Her parents lived at 237 Pleasant St. in 1880 according to the Census. That is all I know about the photo or the people in it. I would love to find out more.
My grandmother's father
Christian Gerhardt worked at a Cincinnati Tannery at the time and I
have
a group photo of the people working at the Tannery when the photo was
taken.
I do not know the exact year of the photo, the name of the tannery
(although
I suspect it might be the Queen City Tannery) or the people in it other
than my great grandfather."
