the German Catholic school which was to be associated with Old St. Mary's
Church, Over-the-Rhine and was a successful publisher of Cincinnati German
newspapers.
Bishop
S. H. Rosecrans, Auxiliary Bishop of Cincinnati, as contained in The
biographical encyclopedia of Ohio of the nineteenth century, 1876,
pages 542-543. Before being named auxiliary bishop in 1862, Father
Rosecrans taught at Mount Saint Mary Seminary and was editor of the Catholic
Telegraph.

Florant Meline, as contained in an unknown journal, October 1882,
pages 92-99. Meline was a Catholic writer, lawyer, professor and business
man who taught at the Athenaeum in Cincinnati and worked as editor of the
Catholic Telegraph.
