He was 36 years old and was married to Lena Adams (maiden name of Ishee), who was 28 years old. They had 2 children, Rudolph, 8 years old, and Treva, who was 5. Also listed as living with them in this census were Philip and John Ishee, brothers-in-law. I am trying to locate any information on a local tinsmith that made cookie cutters during the 1970s-1980s and maybe even early 1990s. I am researching Lee Ammerman (d-not known) and his wife was Ethel L. Ammerman (d-March 11, 2004). Would like to find information, history of his tinsmith career, photo of him, information on his cookie cutters, obituary or any newspaper articles about him and his wife. CONREY, FLYNN posted by Jeff Bader on Monday, December 19, 2005
My brick wall is gg-grandfather John Conrey and Wife Ellen Flynn. John is reported to have been born around 1826 in County Waterford, Ireland. He married Ellen (b. ~ 1828) about 1856 and she died around 1861. Both are reported to be buried in Chagrin Falls. I assume they were married in Ohio. I have no records or proof of the above, just family lore. They had at least two children, Patrick (b. 1857 Ohio) and Ellen Cecilia (b. 1859 Chagrin Falls, Ohio). Patrick and Ellen Cecilia (Cecilia is her middle name) are both buried in Akron, Ohio. I’m descended from Ellen Cecilia. Ellen Flynn’s parents are Edmond Flynn and Catherine Lahey born and died in County Waterford, Ireland. Ellen had a sister Margaret and a brother Michael. The spelling is really Conrey which is an uncommon spelling. I have seen it misspelled ‘Conroy’ which is much tougher to research. I would love to find hard facts on these ancestors and where they are buried. My real goal is to visit their gravesite with my father and uncle before it is too late. Any help you can give or names to contact would be appreciated. I don’t know anything about Chagrin Falls and where to start my research. Luckily, I live nearby in Akron and can meet easily if necessary. Jeff Bader 2377 Berrywood Dr. Akron, Ohio 44333 330-666-5534 [email protected]

BROOKS, ROBINSON, SIMMONS I'm looking for families of James T. Brooks and Hester Ann Robinson, who married in Montsville in Geauga Co. 8-02-1841. Her birthplace is given as MA or CT or NY (as reported by herself and later, her children. (An area in Dutchess County, NY called "the Oblong" was, according to published Robinson family research concerning Robinsons who came from there to Geauga Co. at diffferent times considered part of one or another of those three states.) James Brooks was born in abt 1816 in NY. In 1850 they are found in Eaton, Lorain, Ohio. In 1860 Hester Ann Brooks and the children are in Chardon, Geauga Co. And in 1870 she is in Chicago, as are her sons, living together separate from her. The Brooks children were James A. born 1842, probably the same as Charles J. b. 1842, who lives later in Chicago with Marcellus George; Naomi A. b. abt 1844; Ermina, b. abt 1846, later Mrs. John Wesley Simmons of Lake Co. Ohio and Clark County, WI (see http://wvls.lib.wi.us/ClarkCounty/clark/data/bios1/1321.htm); and Marcellus George, b. abt 1850. I hope someone can identify James Brooks or Hester Ann Robinson.
