The Revelos Bros owned the Elite Confectionary (downtown) on 1126 Central Ave./222 E. 3rd Ave (o) from 1916-1931, there was a three year period when they owned both places.  Mike Revelos said that the Revelos Bros remodeled the Delicia with booths, etc. after they purchased it.  It also crossed by mind that the brothers might have decided to sell the Delicia after two had died; I would have to check on the dates of Charles and Nick Revelos' deaths.  George N also said that a cousin managed the Delicia for the Revelos bros. before they sold to Benita & Regas.
I do not think that renting or leasing was ever a problem.  The lady (Mrs Ronimus) who owned the Delicia building also owned the building we lived in.  She operated on good faith and a hands shake.ND

My dad and uncles helped a lot of Greeks that immigrated to Middletown. They gave them jobs in the confectionery and put them up in the two buildings at 1802 and 1806 Central. Some stayed and others left Middletown.  The store at 1804, my store, never had living quarters until Mike fixed it up when he got married in the 1960's.  The second floor was used as a candy factory, the basement as the ice cream factory and the main floor the confectionery.

Mr. Revelos was a member of the Michigan and Ohio bars, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Commercial Law League of America.     Survivors include his mother, Frosine Revelos of Middletown; three brothers, George N., Mike and Chris Revelos, all of Middletown; and a sister, Lula Poulias of Loveland.
Services have been held. Interment was at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown.
Memorial gifts are suggested to Sts.
Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2500 Grand Ave. Middletown, OH 45044.

Revelos was dean at Chase College OBITUARY Aided in early stages of merger with NKU  Constantine Nicholas Revelos  MIDDLETOWN -, seventh dean of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law, died Nov. 3 of lymphoma at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was 69.
Appointed in April 1968, Mr. Revelos was one of the youngest persons in the country to become dean of a law school, according to an Enquirer story that ran at the time. He was 30 and had been serving as interim dean since December 1967. He replaced the retiring Ray Hutchens, who had been dean since 1952.
During his tenure, Mr. Revelos explored the possibility of a merger of Chase, which was an independent law school at the time, and a university.
"Dean Revelos was a young and energetic administrator who saw the opportunities for the Chase Law School to grow and affiliate with a university," recalled William P. Schroeder, who ranked first in the Chase College of Law Class of 1968. "He had high standards but great compassion for the students and was a tireless worker."
Chase merged with Northern Kentucky State College, which had been a satellite campus of the University of Kentucky, in 1971. The college became Northern Kentucky University in 1976 and Chase College of Law moved to its current location in Nunn Hall on NKU's Highland Heights campus in 1982.
"Revelos was there in the very early stages of that," Schroeder said.
Mr. Revelos was born in Middletown on March 1, 1938, to Nicholas Revelos and Frosine Aridas Revelos, founders of the Elite Candy & Ice Cream Shop in Middletown. Nicholas Revelos died in the 1940s and Frosine Revelos and her sons and daughter operated it until the 1960s, according to Mr. Revelos' nephew Alcibiades Poulias.
A member of the Middletown High School Class of 1956, Mr. Revelos attended Bowdoin College on scholarship, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 1961. He received his law degree from the Duke University School of Law, where he made dean's list in 1965, and a master of laws degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1971.
He was appointed assistant professor of law at Chase in July 1965 after graduating from law school in June. He replaced Maxwell Dieffenbach as a teacher of equity and corporation law.
Mr. Revelos was a professor of law at the Detroit Law College at Michigan State University, where he taught commercial, business and Internet law from 1971 until he retired last year. He was director of the college's 1997 summer law program in Romania and of its King of Scholars program.
He also served as an arbitrator for the New York Stock Exchange and a guest lecturer for the American Bar Association in Romania, Canada and Lithuania.

Theodore Revelos was dad's first cousin who worked at the store.  He lived on Harrison Street in the house he sold to George Turlukis, who ran the Family and State Theaters. Theodore and his family returned to Greece at the same time that dad was returning with my Mother, pregnant with me in March of 1929.  I did meet his wife and one daughter on my first trip to Greece. He was not the only relative to come here and work at the store Dad's brother-in-law Jim Cotsonis also came over to work. He returned to Greece much later. He wore horn rimmed glasses and used a cane.GNR

Although Ted Sarris worked at the store when he was young, I don't think his father did. In addition to my Uncle Bill, Jim Cotsonis   brother-in-law, cousin Theodore Revelos, Steve Comminos and Tom Chirikos who baptized Bea Revelos. He taught me the ropes when I split up with the other Georges. I'm sure there were other Greeks that worked there. GNR

Zaferis was pretty much on his own. He owned the commercial building across the street from George Kavouras’ house (George's house was 319 so Zaferis place might be 320 or 322 Crawford).  He ran a candy and ice cream store from there.  Later, of course, the Elite composed of George Jim Revelos, Charley (Peanuts) Revelos, and George Charles Revelos operated from that same building. Zaferis’ family did not immigrate to US ND.

Zaferis Revelos was my uncle Bill.  He was never a partner in the confectionery but worked there.  He also opened a store on Crawford and Logan Streets and sold booze during prohibition by hiding it in the ice cream freezer.  That store later became our Crawford Street store.  When I was little, he always would call us over to give us a big hug.  Of course he always had a stubble and would rub our faces in it.  We would cry and yell no! no! Uncle Bill.  He was the oldest of the brothers and when Uncle Jim and Uncle John opened the East End Candy Co, after Mom and Thea Sophia bought out Elite's, he worked for them.  He had left his wife Ligueri, son Panagioti and daughter Zaharoula in Greece to fend for themselves.  They lived in the patriko house.  I stayed there my first trip to Greece.  Uncles Jim and John sent him back to Greece with a one way ticket with my mother when she made her first trip back to see my grandparents in 1950.  He begged her to bring him back with her.  He didn't recognize that old woman, his wife.  He died six months later.GNR
