Three-ring binder Containing photocopied pages of newspaper clippings and other articles pertaining to Mr. Haussermann, who was born on December 14, 1867, at New Richmond (Clermont County) Ohio. Mr. Haussermann rose from a $2 a week postal worker to a multimillionaire and was known as, "Gold King of the Phillipines". The idea for this volume was in large part due to the non-existence of vintage newspapers in Bracken County. In their absence, it was discovered that an abundance of newspaper clippings were saved over the years by family members and historians. The clippings were widely scattered among the individuals and libraries. It seemed appropriate to collect, copy and arrange then in an indexed order so that they could be used for research. KENTUCKY FEDERAL COURT RECORDS, DISTRICT AND 6th CIRCUIT ORDER BOOKS, 1789-1804. Cook. Although the name of the Court varied, through the years, only one court handled the Federal cases for Kentucky. The cases pertained to questions of federal law: land disputes, debts, interstate settlement of estates, illegal whiskey-making, naturalization, etc. The introduction tells us: "Many of the cases included records from "burned" counties of Virginia (as well as other states), and are available no where else.
