Background information
The basis of this inventory
is from digital photographs taken by Caroline Huppi in 2003 and Hazel Stroup-
Craig inventory from the 1960’s link. The Stroup data was used as the
basis of this html file and annotated.
There are notable differences between what is visible now in the
cemetery and what is listed in the 1960’s inventory. The USGS map has this cemetery lists the cemetery as “Spring Hill
Cemetery”, one of two in Liberty Township so listed by the USGS. The cemetery has been known by several
other names over the years and now noted as the “Clawson Cemetery”.
