PHILLIPS, JOSEPH AND PHILLIPS, SOPHIA - We are coming to Belmont Co. in Oct. 2002 and am interesting in any information I can get on Joseph Phillips (who worked in a mine)or Sohpia. They lived near Martins Ferry around 1871 ?? They had several children, Joseph, (John?), Elizabeth when living there. Joseph and John were only small children when deaths occurred. Elizabeth (my friend) is looking for death information. Possibly buried at St. Mary's Cemetary at Martins Ferry??

I'm looking for a Ball family in Belmont Co., OH. The only lead I have at the moment is the Matilda (Wilson) Ball listed in the 1880 Census in Somerset. She is a widow, age 42, with children, Kate, Pheboe, Charles and Jacob. I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone who can tell me more about this family. Thanks for your time!
