Jane's three young children from her first marriage, James McCormick Fowler, Samuel Fowler and Nancy Fowler also moved with them. I believe they moved to the Morristown area. I am looking for information on the children of William WOOD (Aug 23, 1806-July 18, 1878)and Sarah Rebecca MORRIS (Jan 4, 1805 - ?)both born and died in Belmont County, Ohio. They were married Mar 11, 1826. I know that they had at least one child Mahlon Wood (Dec 4, 1840 - Nov. 1911.

I am looking for information on my gggrandfather Jacob Still Fipps (Fips/Phipps)who was born in Belmont County September 22, 1813 (Family records say 1813, but his Civil war records indicate 1817.) His parents were John Fips and Nancy Still both born in Maryland or Pennsylvania married on December 16, 1813 in Jefferson County, OH. He had at least one brother John. Supposedly his father "died young", his grandfather or greatgrandfather came over with William Penn, and was governor or vice governor of Pa. Jake married Anna Elizabeth Bush b. April 13, 1821 in Kentucky on November 05, 1840 in Bartholomew, Indiana. They had 11 children. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is about all information I have...it is truly a brickwall! Looking for Timothy and Elizabeth (Bradfield)Cross. Timothy was b in Md ca 1838 and Elizabeth in Philadelphia Pa in 1840. They were married in Greene Co Pa ca 1864 and are last seen in the 1870 Washington Co OH census in Lawrence Twp with children Ellen (who was actually Lucinda Ella) b Pa 1864, Thomas W (who was actually Thomas William) b in Va ca 1866 and James R b in Oh ca 1869. Timothy and Elizabeth also had a daughter Minnie b in Washington Co OH in 1871. The family disappears from record after that time but family notes indicate that the son William Thomas resided in Bellaire OH before moving to California. Have found his 1957 death record in Los Angeles CA indicating that he had been a CA resident for 55 yrs. Does anyone have record of William Thomas Cross residing in Bellaire OH ca 1900? Is there record in Belmont Co of his marriage? Have Cross ancestry to share but would like to find out what happened to Timothy and Eliz and their descendants. Timothy's uncle was Rev. My great-grandfather, David Wilson BETHEL, was born in Belmont County in 1860 to William and Mary Wilson BETHEL. He married Jennie HOWELL in 1881 and they had a daughter, Bessie O. BETHEL, in 1885. He left that family and started another one in Clarence, NY with my great-grandmother in 1888. The discovery of the bigamy put him on the run again in 1890; our last record of him is in 1897. Any information about David Wilson (he went by Wilson, and then 'Willis'), Bessie, Jennie, or any of our Belmont County BETHEL ancestors would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for info on my Father's family. Lived in Crescent, Ohio. Grandmother was Anna (Mislai). Grandfather Peter SZABO. Immigrated from Hungary. When the family first came to America they setteled in Pittsburgh (Homestead). Left Pittsburgh went back to Hungary. Several years latter came back to US and lived in Crescent, Ohio. Time period was 1920's - 1949. My uncle Pete was killed in WWII. My grandmother moved to Youngstown, Ohio 1949. I would appreciate any help with this. I do know that my Aunts, Uncles, and Grandfather are buried in a little cemetery outside St. Clairsville, Ohio.

NATHANIEL YOUNG is my great ggrandfather who lived in Wyoming Co. VA in 1850. He left after an altercation which resulted in the death of another man. We believe he went to Ohio to avoid prosecution and possibly Belmont. His wife and sons stayed in VA. Would someone check the 1860, 1870, 1880 censuses for him, please? His wife was Elizabeth Sargent Young who married Joseph Butler in 1856 in Nicholas Co. VA. In 1880, they were listed in the household of Hiram Young, her son, in Clay Co. WV. My descendancy: Nathaniel>Hiram>Louella>Otis>me. TN>KY>WV>WV>IL are our origins. Nathaniel, Elizabeth and Joseph are 3 of my ggreat grandparents.

I am searching for information on a family of Morgans known to have lived in Bellaire, OH in the late 1800s, early 1900s. Samuel Morgan was married to Lydia and they had 12 children: Susan, Milton, Jasper, Daniel, Samuel, Simpson, Francis, Melvin, Emma, Lizzie, Ida, and Ruth. These children were all born between 1865 and 1887. I am descended from Francis, who married Mary Ann Lloyd(Jenkins) and had 4 children. The oldest son, Lloyd Morgan married Pearl Catherine Evans around 1918. Any information that may pertain to these Morgans or the Evans family would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

On 30 November 1899 in Belmont Co., she married Ross Bailey who was b. 4 Feb 1875 in Belmont Co. and died 29 August 1965. I believe Harriett's mother was a Wilson, but am looking for the connection.
