I am looking for Daniel HAINS and his wife Matilda. They lived in the Barnesville area of Belmont Co. in the 1800's. Their son George C. Hains married Elizabeth McCort who was born in Ohio, probably Barnesville. The son had 6 children born in Ohio (4 boys and 2 girls). They lived in this area for at least 12 years from abt. 1866 to 1878 at which time Daniel probably died and they moved back to Fauquies Co. VA. My great-grandfather was Albert McGinnis ROWND who was born in Barnesville, Ohio in 1855. He may have been the son of James Quincy Rownd who married Caroline Brown (b. 1817 and d. 1892). I have no information at all on my great-great grandfather. Great-grandfather Albert Rownd married Julia Dean Koontz in Yankton, South Dakota in 1883. Their youngest child Esther married my grandfather Burke Everett Bodwell Sr. My great-grandfather's siblings may have been James N. Rownd and Martha Rownd. I am particularly anxious to know complete birthdates and what their jobs were if known. My great-grandfather Albert ended up in South Dakota and lived his latter life in Arthur, Nebraska and died in Los Angeles. I am very grateful for ANY info on the Rownd family.

I am looking for as much info as possible on the following partial family tree. I would especially like to know info on ancestors as far back as possible and immigration info. Albertine CRUMB married a POLIN?, they had two daughters Bea and Sara. Sara POLIN married Vernon JEFFERS, they had three daughters Lou, Phyliss and Chris. Lou JEFFERS married Bob BAKER, they had two kids Jeff and Jenny. Jenny married a RICER. Phyliss JEFFERS married Charles HENRY and they had two kids Steven and Sue. Chris JEFFERS married a McCUNNIF and they had three kids Mike, Tom and Mary. Mary married a McNUTT. Vernon JEFFERS had a brother Albert. Albert had a son named Jim JEFFERS would married Maggie? I think these families were mainly based in Monroe Co. and some maybe in Belmont. Vernon and Sara JEFFERS lived most of thier lives on farm in BEALLSVILLE. Vernon was born 2 houses up from his farm. He was also a Postmaster for the area. Vernon JEFFERS passed away about 10 yrs. ago. His daughter Phyliss was born in about 1920. Thankyou, I truly appreciate any help. In answer to George Brown. Richard Ellis Gatten is my boss's great, great grandfather, he served in the union army until 24, June, 1865, and died in Nodaway County, Mo 15 July, 1868. Buried in Quitman Cemetery, Quitman, Missouri.

DAVIS on 16 Dec 1869 in Jackson Co., WV, and together they had 9 children all born in WV. Her birth information is from the 1880 census from Jackson Co., WV. My ggrandfather Alexander Patton GILL was born in 1841 in Belmont Co. OH. His parents were James GILL and Nancy PATTON. In the 1830 census records for Belmont Co. there is a James GILLl listed as head-of-household in Richland township. He does not show up on the 1840 or 1850 census records. Alexander Patton GILL married Victoria SPELMAN of Franklin Co. OH on 5 Nov 1860. Later, he married my ggrandmother Cora Ella WOOD in Warren Co. IA. After her death, he married Mary Sophia ELLENWOOD. Alexander and Mary settled in Kingfisher Co., Loyal, OK. On the 1880 Warren Co. IA census records, it shows Alexander's sister Elizabeth living with his family. Looking for THOMAS RUSSELL TAYLOR b.28 Nov 1830, in Barnesville, Ohio. He was the son of Rev. Edward and Lydia Berstow-Taylor. His father was a Methodist minister and his mother was a missionary among the Wyandotte Indians. THOMAS became a minister, so he probably did not live in Belmont County long. My great-grandfather lived on Wegee Run for several years and had a son named William Harrison FREY Jr who died as a child on June 21,1875 at the age of 3 months old.He was supposed to be buried in Belmont County and as of yet I can't find any information as to where this child was buried or even the cause of death. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
