TROUT posted by Richard A. Moore on Friday, November 28, 1997

In my research on the Trout family from NJ>OH>KS I have come across a John Trout in Richland Twp in 1820 (p. 216); 1830 (p. 233); 1840 (p. 120). Believe this entry to be the same person since the age seems to advance appropriately over the years. I don't find any further entries for him in Belmont county. Does anyone know where this John Trout came from? My direct line is the Trouts in Brown co, OH (Peter, John, and Morris) who came out from Monmouth co, NJ but I would surely like to identify this Trout as he is very likely related. I do have other information about the NJ Trouts in OH which I will be glad to share.
