HALL I am researching the HALL surname.� I have a direct line ancestor, Sarah Jane HALL who married Hiram Frank MCCONNELL.� Sarah Jane may have resided in Belmont County, Ohio with her parents before her marriage to Frank.� I do not have much on Sarah Jane.� I would like to be able to go further back on this line. Is there any one who is researching the HALL surname either in Belmont Co., Harrison Co. or Tuscarawas Co. Ohio?� I would like to have any data on the surname that I can gather.� So even if the name Sarah Jane isn't familiar I would like to recieve data on the HALL surname.� Maybe later a connection can be made between my line and someone elses. KELLAR/KELLER & HATTON Michael KELLAR (m. Nancy DYER) and his sister, Margaret KELLAR (m. Boling HATTON) left Shenandoah Co., VA� after 1816 and came to� the Caldwell area with their families.� There was also a KELLER family in the Mt. Ephraim area who was related to the KELLARS and HATTONS through connections in VA.� I'm working to reconstruct these families and need help with the HATTONS and the KELLERS from Mt. Ephraim.� Michael and Margaret KELLAR's parents were Michael and Catherine (MONROE) KELLAR m. in Stafford Co., Va.� Will share what I have.

He married Margaret Kellar, (sister of Michael KELLAR) and came to Noble Co. from Shenandoah Co., VA after 1816. George and Elizabeth COON of Belmont county, then later Butler county had a daughter Mary COON who married a James T. LEIGH in 1834.� Any information on� these individuals welcomed.� James T. and Mary later went to Illinois and Kansas where Mary died in 1876 and James in 1886. .

The 1830 Belmont County, OH census lists a family headed by a man named Cornelius STEENROD.� The family consisted of one male, one female, and 3 young daughters.� One daughter is believed to have been Rebecca STEENROD born April 12, 1818.� This information I obtained from a book on the STEENROD family.� I believe my gr gr gr grandmother Mary STEENROD may have been one of the other daughters based on her age in the census.� She was born November 24, 1824. Does anyone recognize this family?� Cornelius STEENROD was born after 1785 and his wife was about the same age.� He appears in the 1830 Belmont County census but does not appear in the 1840 or later censuses.� He was the son of Cornelius STEENROD born about 1760 in North Salem, NY died in 1823 in Wheeling, (W)VA. and Mary Elizabeth CALDWELL. Abraham METCALF born 6-2-1843 in Belmont, Ohio, Served in the Civil War. Married a Belmont woman named Martha STURDIVANT. They ended up in Laurens, Iowa. They had 7 children. That's all I know. Can anyone help. Thanks
