"Loved ones are passing each day and each hour,
Passing away as the life of a flower,
But every bud and each blossom some day,
Will bloom as a flower in the Master's bouquet."

Florence Douglas, daughter of Andrew and Martha Crawford, was born December 18, 1864, near Beasley Fork, Adams County, Ohio, and departed this life February 6, 1953, age 88 years, two months, and 19 days.

She was united in marriage to James Polly in the year of 1885 and to this union two children were born, who survive her: Cleveland Polly of West Union, Ohio, and Mrs. Nellie Myers of Dayton, Ohio. In the year of 1888, Mr. Polly preceded her in death.

She was then united in marriage in the year of 1890 to W. R. Douglas and to this union three children were born, who survive her: Mrs. Angie Young of Dayton, Ohio, Mason Douglas of Dayton, Ohio, and W. H. Douglas of West Union, Ohio, with whom she had resided for the past two years. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. In the year of 1917, Mr. Douglas proceeded her in death.

She was a member of the Methodist Church at Dunkinsville, Ohio, and "Grandma" as she was affectionately known, will be sadly missed, as she was admired and respected by her many friends and neighbors.

"Weep not that her toils are over,
Weep not that her race is run;
God grant we may rest as calmly
When our work like hers is done."
