Welsh Immigrant Origins This chart shows the Welsh counties of origin for 118 immigrants from Wales who settled in nineteenth-century Cattaraugus, Allegany and Wyoming Counties in western New York State. The number of immigrants is shown as percentages. 52% came from the agricultural counties of Pembroke and Cardigan in western Wales. Obituaries, death records and compiled genealogies were the primary sources for the data.
