3. Project Updates /Ongoing Business

• Marriage Notices from Lansingburgh Newspapers. 262 pages completed. Two TIGS volunteers working on filling in information on each line of the brides record.

• Death Notices from Lansingburgh Newspapers. 416 pages completed. A TIGS volunteer is combining all pages into one file. Introduction to this data base being written.

• St. John’s Cemetery, all 318 pages completed. Now building one file for all pages and then do an analysis of data. Find background material for introduction to data base.

NOTE: These three projects triggered 4,000 email. 1,000 sending to transcriber, 1,000 returning completed files, 1,000 sending files to proof reader and 1,000 returning proofed file.

• Mapping project of St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet. Identify Work Dates
• Waterford Library Look-Up Day(s). Options are Oct 5 or 19, Nov 2, 16, 30 or Dec 14 or 28.
• Walking tour of Albany Rural Cemetery with Mark Bodnar. : Oct, 18,10 AM. Tour lasts approximately two hours

4. New Business
• Volunteers to help finish mapping Lansingburgh Village Burial Ground
• Thank you to RCDA for new signage at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet
• Hudson Gateway Gala October 23, from 5:30 to 8:30 Troy Country Club
• Heidi mentioned the Oakwood Annual Evening at the Earl Gardner October 2 from 5:00 until 7:30.
• A motion was made to buy yearly backup service for the TIGS computer files for Bill McGrath to use with the TIGS projects. Motioned by Lizette Strait and seconded by Cathy McGrath.

5. Next Meeting

• Next Meeting October 16, 2014 at O’Briens Public House

Jan Sullivan made a motion to close the meeting, Heidi seconded it.
