Project Updates:

• The St. Jean’s Cemetery book has been transcribed. There were 82 pages and 3,115 names. Started 8/24/17 and finished 9/1/17. Bill McGrath has to cross reference some of the data. He used Find a Grave to resolve some of the unreadable issues. We may add a link for Find A Grave on the TIGS web site introductory page.

• St. Peter’s Cemetery book for the period 1909 – 2002 Transcribing started 9/22/17 and 418 of the 463 pages have been completed. There are 25 transcribers. There were many crumbled old pages and Bill McGrath used Find a Grave, NYS Death Index, and Fulton History to solve some issues. There was some discussion as to how to locate the previous records. We need to check with Lisa Doherty as it is believed she has the records.

• It was noted in the group discussion that cause of death is not included in the online transcribed records.

Upcoming Events:
• The East Greenbush Library Lookup Day will be Saturday, Oct. 21, 1-3 pm

• There may be one more look-up day in November, and it may be at Lansingburg, Waterford, or Downtown Troy

New Business:

• The Victorian Stroll will be December 3, 2017. We will have a table for anyone who wants to participate

• We need to update our Random Acts of Kindness contacts.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made, seconded and passed.
The next meeting will be November 16, 2017 at the VanSchyck restaurant.

Respectfully submitted,
Gail Landrigan, Secretary
