REPORTS

There was no report from the President.

The Treasurer, Cathy McGrath, reported to Kris that the current balance in the TIGS treasury is $1788.38 with 55 paid members.

List Administrator, Brad Miter, has reported that there are currently 201 list members.

Jeanne Keefe, who is out of town on business, reported to Kris that everything is up to date on the website.

OLD BUSINESS

The members discussed the Spring plant sale. A location for the sale is still being sought. Kris will check on a suggested site for the sale.

Work on Volume 8 of the Marriage Index is progressing. Volunteers are still needed to go to the County Clerk’s Office and fill in missing information on the sheets that have been copied so Bill may disseminate them for transcribing. There appear to be about 30 pages left. Work is being done on Volume 9.

The status of the work on the Church Memorial project was discussed. Kay Brearton reported that she has compiled an EXCEL sheet on the memorials for St. William Church which has closed and taken a few photos. Richard Boland will get the information on St. Patrick’s Church memorials. A long time parishioner of St. Peter’s has been gathering memorial information on that church and Kay has been creating a spreadsheet. Information has also been gathered regarding St. Mary’s Church in Troy.

Kris Ayotte discussed the status of the Founders Hill project of St. Agnes Cemetery Association in Menands. She is very pleased with the good working relationship which has developed between the Cemetery Association and TIGS.

NEW BUSINESS

It was decided that consideration of a membership to the Rensselaer County Historical Society will be discussed at next month’s meeting when more members will be able to attend.

Kris reported that she recently learned that the records for the Old Mt. Ida Cemetery are stored at the Parks & Recreation Department of Troy.

ADJOURNMENT

A motion was made by Kris Ayotte and seconded by Lizette Strait to adjourn the meeting. The motion was approved and the meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
Kathleen Brearton, Secretary
