Troy Irish Genealogy Meeting Minutes
June, 2014
No real meeting was held in June. Instead, we
all went for a tour of the Herman Melville House in Lansingburgh
and up stairs to the museum with brushes and tools etc.
Mary Ellen Kelleher was our tour guide. She lives
upstairs in the house. She took us outside and inside and gave
us a lot of history. It was very interesting. You had a wonderful
view of the Hudson River. It was easy to imagine in the day
the traffic on the water and up and down the street in front
of the house.
After the tour, she treated us all to cookies
and tea, real Irish hospitality. We were all asked to make ourselves
out home. Some lounged in the kitchen and others in the living
room. It was a very enjoyable outing.
It was proposed that we join the Lansingburgh
Historic Society, but it was tabled until the July meeting.
We did leave a donation with Mary Ellen for the Society.
The following individuals were in attendance:
Bill McGrath, Cathy McGrath, Chris Connell, Heidi Klinowski,
Gerri Sherry, Tim Stone, Jan Sullivan, Kris Ayotte, Kathy Buckley,
Noreen Iacobucci, Kathleen Mazzrillo, Bill McMahon, Gail Landrigan,
Lizette Strait, Kristee Iacobucci.
