4. Old Business:
Watervliet Historical Association Scanner / West Troy Church Records – The Watervliet Historical Association has an overhead scanner which they are willing to let TIGS members use to scan books/records for transcription. In appreciation for this courtesy, TIGS will get a Watervliet Historical Association membership.

2016 Genealogy Lookup Days – The lookup days were well attended. Future lookups are being arranged for The Eddy Terrace Assisted Living and the Lansingburgh Branch of the Troy Public Library

Charter review status report – Lizette Strait will mail the proposed charter to the members for their votes. Kathy Buckley will keep track of the votes.

Project Updates: Bill McGrath presented the project update statuses.

Completed Projects:
• St Joseph’s Cemetery Waterford – Now on-line 17,000 plus people from Albany County, Schenectady County, Saratoga County, Rensselaer County, Canada and France including 200 weavers from Lorraine, France who came to Cohoes in 1880. This information has been sent to the Eastman Genealogy Newsletter.
Projects Underway:
• WW II Sixth Ward Honor Roll, South Troy – 370 names; database created by Barry Considine
• Gravestones in St. Agnes Cemetery showing foreign place of birth – 54 pages, possibly 500 names, being transcribed by Jan Sullivan.
• Erection of Tombstones for Civil War and Spanish American War Veterans – 99% done – need to identify cemetery locations.
• First Reformed Church Wynantskill – Rebecca Rector is getting the names.
• West Troy Methodist-Episcopal baptism/marriage records (1842 – 1911) Chris Connell and Kathy Buckley scanned the Watervliet Methodist Church records – marriages, baptisms and members. Bill McGrath will arrange for transcription.
• Marriage Records from Troy Newspapers – Bill McGrath is finalizing these to make them uniform
• Methodist Episcopal Church Records Troy – Lansingburgh – need to review and send to transcribers

5. New Business:
• Rootsweb Issues / Alternate Hosting Options – Problems with rootsweb caused Jeanne Keefe to reload the TIGS website; it is clean. Ancestry, the rootsweb host, has not been as supportive as they once were. There is also no ability to add an easy search function to the website. Rootsweb restrictions prevent TIGS from having a PayPal dues payment and donation button. Chris Connell will take the lead on investigating options for a long term solution.
• Slate of TIGS Officers for 2016- 2017 – The existing officers have agreed to serve another term. The election of officers will be tied in with the charter review process.

6. Next TIGS Meeting: The next TIGS meeting will be May 19, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. Meeting place to be determined.

7. The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 P.M.

Respectfully submitted by: Joan Durso, Secretary
