Batters

My great-grandfather Robert Batters, b. 1836, arrived in NY on May 30, 1864,
with 5 children and his wife Mary Luby Batters. They settled in Troy where
my grandfather had a meat market called Robert Batters Meat Market, 480 Second
Street.

One of their sons, Robert Batters b. 3.7.1860 (in Ireland) was my grandfather. My grandfather married Alice Purcell, b .9.8.1861, daughter of John and Johanna Purcell, on April 22, 1883.

My grandfather and grandmother had 4 surviving children, amongst whom was my father Thomas B. Batters, b. 1.27.1893. Thomas and my Mom also had 4 children, and I am the third born
10.06.1950.
