Jefferson, NY, as follows: "Donald M. Rose, Gouverneru, Dies
At Age 53. Gouverneur. Donald M. Rose, 53, of 108 Depot St., died Friday morning
in Mercy Hospital, Watertown, where he had been a patient for three days.
"The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Green Funeral Home, with Rev.
Stanley E. Brown, pastor of United Church of Richville, officiating. Burial will
be in East Riverside Cemetery.
"Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral
home. Memorial donations may be made to the Gouverneur Rescue Squad.
"Surviving are two sons, Donald, Hammond, and John, Auburn; five daughters,
Elaine Phillips, San Manuel, Ariz., Carol Humphrey, Henderson, Nev., Sheila Abelstron,
Grantsville, Utah, Diana Rose, West Valley City, Utah, and Trina Rose, Las Vegas,
Nev.; nine grandchildren, and two brothers, Harold, Tampa, Fla., and Gerald,
Gouverneur.
"Born in Antwerp on Sept. 24, 1935, son of Roy and Ethel Rose, he attended
schools at Oxbow, Antwerp and Hermon.
"He was employed for several years by Town of Gouverneur, and later worked
at Rushmore Paper Co., Natural Dam, for 16 years. Recently he had been employed
by LUK Construction on Section 801 Army leased housing projects here."
He was buried in E. Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, St Lawrence, NY. Donald
