"Born Oct. 18, 1936, in Watertown, son of Lawrence R. and Mary Elizabeth Juby Ormiston, he graduated from Watertown High School in 1954 and attended Potsdam State University College and Mitchell College of Long Island University.
"He married Jeanne M. Dougherty on April 22, 1961, at Our Holy Redeemer Church, Freeport, with the Rev. John Madden officiating.
"Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Catherine A. Ormiston, Austin, Texas; three sons, James Joseph Ormiston, Houston, Texas, Christopher Ormiston, Boerne, Texas, and William Andrew Ormiston, Charleston, S.C.; three sisters, Maryellen FitzGerald, Bethesda, Md., Catherine Clark, New Canaan, Conn., and Alice Musil, Chandler, Ariz.; two brothers, James Ormiston, Venice Center, and John Ormiston, Rochester, and five grandchildren.
"A funeral Mass was said Dec. 15 at Marble Falls, Texas. Burial with military honors was at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio. Arrangements were with Edgar Funeral Home, Marble Falls." He was buried in Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, ___, Texas.
