Walter G. Boula (son of Walter J. Boula and Beulah
Palmer) was born on 25 Aug 1933 in Saranac Lake, Franklin Co, NY.
He died on 9 May 1996 in Star Lake, St Lawrence, NY. His obituary
appeared on 10 May 1996 in the Watertown Daily Times of Watertown, Jefferson,
NY, as follows: Funeral Saturday For Millwright Walter Boula.
Star Lake. The funeral for Walter G. Boula, 62, Benson Mines Road, will be at
1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Hubert's Church with the Rev. Robert Cotter, pastor,
officiating. Burial will be in Wanakena Cemetery.
Mr. Boula died early Thursday at Clifton-Fine Hospital after a long
illness.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hawley Funeral Home,
where members of Star Lake American Legion will conduct a service at 7 p.m.
Donations may be made to Star Lake Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret "Dodie"; three sons, James,
Madrid, Jeffrey, Evanston, Wyo., and Joseph, Star Lake; three daughters, Judi
Nuanez and Jeanine Peabody, both of Star Lake, and Julie Peabody, Central Square;
two brothers, Clayton, Newton Falls, and Wayne, Helen, Ga.; a sister, Edna Pearson,
Syracuse, and 14 grandchildren.
A son, John, died Aug. 9, 1991.
Born Aug. 25, 1933, at Saranac Lake, a son of Walter J. and Beulah Palmer
Boula, he attended Saranac Lake and Lake Placid schools and graduated from Clifton-Fine
Central School in 1952.
He served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956 and married Margaret G.
White on Nov. 16, 1957, in St. Hubert's Church with the Rev. Robert A. Farmer,
then pastor, officiating.
Mr. Boula was a Class A millwright at Newton Falls Paper Mill for 33
years and was a member of St. Hubert's Church, American Legion, Disabled American
Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a former member of Newton Falls Fire Department and Swallows
Racing Team and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was buried in Wanakena
cemetery, Wanakena, St. Lawrence, NY. Margaret G. "Dodie"
White and Walter G. Boula had the following children:
