of Lloyd Hunter and Bertha Stevenson) was born on 27 Jun 1933 in Rossie, St.
Lawrence, NY. She died on 13 Jan 1998 in Rochester, Monroe, NY.
Her obituary appeared on 20 Jan 1998 in the Watertown Daily Times of Watertown,
Jefferson, NY, as follows: “Beulah Salisbury Former Rossie Resident.
Rossie. Beulah Salisbury, 64, Marion, formerly of Rossie, died last Tuesday evening
at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. She had undergone surgery three weeks
before.
“Mrs. Salisbury worked at Xerox Corp., Rochester, for many years, retiring
two years ago.
“Born June 27, 1933, in Rossie, daughter of Lloyd and Bertha Stevenson
Hunter, she attended Hammond Central School.
“She married Arthur Salisbury on June 29, 1951, in Theresa Methodist
Church with the Rev. M.E. Van Ornum officiating. The marriage ended in divorce.
“Surviving are two daughters, Sheryl Salisbury, with whom she lived,
and Mrs. Steven (Darlene) Tarrant, Florida; a son, Lynn A., Marion; four sisters,
Marjorie Halladay, Rossie, Kathleen "Kitty" Thompson, Theresa, and
Norma Youngs and Retha Hicks, both of Oxbow; a brother, Robert K. Hunter, Theresa;
an aunt, Beulah Valerio, Hammond; seven grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews
and cousins.
“A sister, Beatrice Martin, died in 1956, and two brothers, Leslie M.
and Wilson L. Hunter, died in 1963 and 1985, respectively.
“The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stevens Funeral Home, Marion.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
“Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.”
She was buried in Riverside cemetery, Rossie, St. Lawrence, NY.
