Star Lake -- Donald Lewis Klock, 53, a World War II veteran, died of a heart attack Sunday morning at his home in Star Lake.
"The funeral, with military service, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the French Funeral Home, Edwards, with Rev. Stanley Brown, pastor of the First Methodist Church in Gouverneur, officiating.
"Calling hours at the funeral home will be this afternoon and tonight and Tuesday afternoon and evening.
"Surviving are his wife, Edith F.; a son, Floyd, Cranberry Lake; three brothers, Morris, Balmat, Frederick, Philadelphia, and Franklin, Theresa, and six sisters, Mrs. Howard (Lucinda) Dennee, Mrs. Robert (Zelphia) McIntosh. and Mrs. Allen (Martha) Pedroza, Gouverneur, Mrs. Sterling (Ordetta) Sharpe and Mrs. Everett (Beverly) Sharpe, both of Madrid, and Mrs. David (Francis) Dudley, Auburn.
"A total of three brothers and two sisters died before Mr. Klock.
"He was born May 24, 1925 in the town of DeKalb and Potsdam. He married the former Edith French in 1946.
"Mr. Klock served with the Marines from 1942 to February 1946, receiving wounds in Okinawa.
"He was employed by Jones & Laughlin at Benson Mines for 32 years. He was named foreman 12 years ago.
"He was a member of Gouverneur's Silas Wainwright V.F.W. Post 6338, Mervin Eno Post 1539, American Legion, Benson Mines, Sixth Marine Division Association, 40 & 8 Post, Benson Mines, and the IOOB, Harrisville."
