Wallace Andrew Love, 64, died last Sunday morning at Tampa Municipal Hospital
following a long illness.
"He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pearl Love, and four sons, Donald,
of New York, John, of Richmond, Va., James of Zephyrhills, and Carleton, now
serving with the U.S. Army Air Force at Ft. Frances E. Warren in Wyoming. Other
survivors include six sisters and two brothers, all residents of New York state.
"Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Lair's Funeral Home
with Dr. R. E. Meader officiating. Interment was in Zephyrhills cemetery." Wallace

Gardner (daughter of William Hiram Gardner and Martha McEwen) was born in
1894. She died on 16 Jan 1920 in Tully, Onondaga, NY.

"Gouverneur, April 7.--Ray Love, 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace
Love, 173 West Main street,who has been missing from his home since Monday evening,
was found today on the farm of Homer Gotham on the Hermon-Edwards road
about 16 miles from Gouverneur.
"Sergeant James G. Welch of the state police received a telephone call
about 11:30 a.m. today from Mr. Gotham who said the boy was at his farm. The
reason the boy left home could not be learned.
"The boy arrived at the Gotham farm on Tuesday morning, and asked for
something to eat. He would give little information concerning himself. He did
not give his right name. Mr. Gotham this morning decided to call the troopers
and tell of the boy being at the farm.
"The boy's father was notified at once. He left here at noon for the
Gotham farm to bring back his son. Mrs. Love was overjoyed to learn her son was
safe and well.
"The boy is a pupil at West Side school. A schoolmate, named Burke, said
he saw the boy about 9 p.m. Monday." |

Love had been in poor health for five years.
"The funeral was held today at Zephyrhills and burial will be in the
Zephyrhills cemetery.
"Mrs. Love is survived by three sons, Carlton, Antwerp, John, U.S. marine
corps, and James, Zephyrhills; two brothers,Carl Force, Ogdensburg, and Leon
Force, Gouverneur, and one stepson, Don W. Love, Gouverneur.
"Mrs. Love was born at Wegatchie in the town of Rossie on June 15, 1885,
the daughter of Henry Milton and Louise Wetmore Force. She attended the Wegatchie
schools.
"On June 14, 1920, she was married to Wallace A. Love at Gouverneur.
Rev. Harry Campbell,pastor of First Methodist church, Gouverneur, officiated.
The couple farmed in the Gouverneur area and Mr. Love at one time was a village
policeman.
"In 1937, the couple moved to Virginia and eleven years ago to Zephyrhills.
Mr. Love died shortly after moving to Florida.
"Mrs. Love was a member of the Methodist church, Zephyrhills, and the
W.S.C.S. of that church." She was buried in Zephyr Hills, Pasco, Florida.

newspaper, as follows: "8-Year Old Boy Killed By Auto. Richard
Love Struck By Donald Car Sunday Afternoon--Killed Instantly. Richard Andrew
Love, 8-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Love, Park street, was struck by
a car owned and driven by Charles C. Donald, local drug store proprietor, at
William and Main streets at 2:30 Sunday afternoon.
"The boy was on the way to visit his grandmother, Mrs. Henry Force, William
street, and was standing on the corner of William and Main streets waiting for
the traffic signal. The lights changed and the lad started across the street.
Mr. Donald, who was accompanied by his wife, was driving his machine at a slow
rate of speed, according to witnesses.
"The boy was knocked to the pavement and was covered with blood when
picked up and rushed to the hospital. His injuries were found to consist of a
fracture of the skull, a broken neck, and fractures of the left hip and shoulder.
"Dr. F. D. Allen, coroner, arrived after the accident and pronounced
death due to injuries received in an accident. Mr. Donald was not held responsible.
"Richard Love was born in Gouverneur on July 6, 1922, a son of Wallace
and Pearl Force Love. He resided for a time on a farm in Fowler and Hermon but
since April 1, he had made his home in this village where he was attending the
local schools. His father is well known here where he served for a few years
as chief of police.
"The boy is survived by his parents and three brothers, James, John and
Carlton Love, all of this village; two half-brothers, Donald and Raymond Love,
Gouverneur.
"Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the
home of his grandmother, Mrs. Henry Force of William street. Burial was made
