"A son, Donald, died in 1972, and a daughter, Linda, died in infancy.
"Born Feb. 20, 1924, on Martin Street Road in the town of Champion, a daughter of Alvin and Florence Doolittle Brotherton, she attended school in West Carthage.
"She married Frederick C. Stoddard on Feb. 28, 1942, at the Woolworth Memorial Methodist Church, Great Bend, with the Rev. James W. Battett officiating.
"Mrs. Stoddard was a homemaker and also a bus driver for 14 years for the Carthage Central School District, retiring in 1980."
