394. Eleanor F. Harris was born on 4 Jan 1931 in Rossie, St. Lawrence, NY. She died on 5 Feb 1980 in Alexandria Bay, Jefferson, NY. She was buried in Oxbow cemetery, Oxbow, Jefferson, NY. Her obituary appeared in an unknown newspaper, as follows: "Mrs. Eleanor Fleming Dead. Gouverneur -- Mrs. Eleanor F. Fleming, 49, Redwood, R.D. 1, wife of Edwin Fleming, died Tuesday afternoon in Edward John Noble Hospital, Alexandria Bay, where she had been admitted Jan. 24.
"The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Sprague Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley E. Brown, pastor of United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oxbow Cemetery in the spring.
"Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday afternoon and evening.
"Surviving are her husband, five sons, Edwin Jr., Calcium, Gary, Ricky and Alwin, all of Rossie, and Randy, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Gloria) Burns, Alexandria Bay, and Mrs. Carl (Katherine) Frizzell, at home; 12 grandchildren, her step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cunningham, Oxbow; two brothers, Murlin and William Harris, both of Rossie, and two step-brothers [actually, half-brothers], Gerald and Ralph Cunningham, Gouverneur. A brother, Stanley Harris, Heuvelton, died in 1979.
"She was born in the Town of Rossie, Jan. 4, 1931, daughter of George and Dorothy Smith Harris, and attended Antwerp schools.
"She was married to Edwin Fleming, Sept. 3, 1949 in the Gouverneur Presbyterian parsonage with Rev. J. A. Schofield officiating.
"The couple had lived at Wegatchie, Oxbow and Hammond until moving to their present home in the Town of Rossie eight years ago." Possibly a Cunningham?

Eleanor F. Harris and Edwin H. Fleming Sr. were married on 3 Sep 1949 in Gouverneur, St. Lawrence, NY. Edwin H. Fleming Sr. (son of Guy B. Fleming and Irene L. Dunn) was born on 7 Jan 1930 in Macomb, St. Lawrence, NY. He died on 22 Oct 1990 in Rossie, St. Lawrence, NY. His obituary appeared on 22 Oct 1990 in the Watertown Daily Times of Watertown, Jefferson, NY, as follows: "Edwin Fleming Sr. Dead At Age Of 60. Rossie. Edwin H. Fleming Sr., 60, River Road, retired employee of the Gouverneur Talc Co., Balmat, died at 1:30 a.m. today at his home.
"The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sprague-French Funeral Home, Gouverneur, with the Rev. Frank I. Smith, pastor of the Gouverneur First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oxbow Cemetery.
"Calling hours will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County Inc., P.O. Box 677, Watertown, or to the Redwood Volunteer Rescue Squad.
"Surviving are five sons, Edwin H. Jr., Calcium, Gary E. and Alwin H., both of Rossie, Ricky A., Hammond, and Randy L., Theresa; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Gloria J.) Burns, Theresa, and Mrs. Carl (Katherine A.) Frizzell, Rossie; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Everett A., Edwards, and Guy B., Cortland, and a sister, Mrs. Franklin (Emma) LaForty, Rossie.
"A daughter, Eleanor Irene Fleming, died in infancy.
"He was born Jan. 7, 1930, in the Town of Macomb, a son of Guy B. and Irene L. Dunn Fleming. He attended Gouverneur schools.
"He married Eleanor F. Harris Sept. 3, 1949, in the Gouverneur Presbyterian parsonage with the Rev. Joseph Schofield officiating. The couple had resided in Wegatchie, Oxbow and Hammond until moving to Rossie in 1972.
"Mr. Fleming was employed by the Gouverneur Talc Co. as a trammerman from 1963 until retiring due to disability in 1980.
"Mrs. Fleming, a native of the Town of Rossie, died Feb. 5, 1980. She was 49." He was buried in Oxbow cemetery, Oxbow, Jefferson, NY. Eleanor F. Harris and Edwin H. Fleming Sr. had the following children:
