Richville. Everett L. Stiles, 84, Cocoa Beach, Fla., a former resident of Syracuse
and a native of Richville, died June 8 in Cape Canaveral Hospital.
There will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are with the
Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, Cocoa Beach. Donations may be made to Riverside
Presbyterian Church, 3400 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, Fla. 32931 or to the
Shriners Transportation Fund, c/o Azan Shrine Temple, 1591 W. Eau Gallie Blvd.,
Melbourne, Fla. 32935.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; a son, John, Syracuse, and two grandchildren.
Born in Richville, March 1, 1910, a son of Daniel George and Alice Love
Stiles, he graduated from Richville High School in 1929 and Cornell University,
Ithaca, with a master's degree in agriculture in 1934.
He served in the Army during World War II, retiring as a lieutenant
colonel and remained active in the reserves until he retired in the 1960's.
Mr. Stiles taught vocational agriculture in Wellsville and Honeoye Falls
and opened the first P&C Food Store in Buffalo and another in Syracuse. He
became vice president of personnel and labor relations for P&C Foods Inc.,
Syracuse. He lived in Syracuse for many years before moving to Florida in 1974.
He was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church and Beachside Shrine,
Cocoa Beach, Scottish Rite and Kiwanis Club, both in Syracuse, the Masonic Lodge,
Boston, Mass., and the Retired Officers Club. Everett L. Stiles and Mary
