"Born April 29, 1965, in Star Lake, a daughter of James and Dianne Pierce Brotherton, she graduated from Ayer (Mass.) High School in 1983. She had lived in northern Virginia since 1986 and was employed at the National Spa and Pool Institute, Alexandria, Va., for the past 10 years. "Surviving besides her father and stepmother, James and Deborah Brotherton, Alexandria, Va., and her mother, Dianne Brotherton, Newton Falls, are two brothers, Michael, Ashburn, Va., and Harold, Newton Falls; three stepsisters, Tina Winkles, Angela Jones, and Amy Brown, all of Alabama; a paternal grandmother, Grace Raven, Hermon; a maternal grandmother, Pearl Pierce, Canton; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. "The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur, with her uncle, the Rev. Thomas Brotherton, pastor of Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Oswegatchie Cemetery. "Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home." She was buried in Oswegatchie cemetery, Fine, St Lawrence, NY.
