Notes by Tom:

Attached is the state census transcription for Pulteney in 1825. The microfilm was pretty clear and the census taker had pretty good handwriting.  There were 36 categories that were being tallied. To keep the table small, I adjusted the lists that had no, or few if any tallies and reserved them for a remarks section.

i.e. in the remarks section (2)26 would mean there was a tally of two for the category number 26, in this case --2 saw mills owned by the family.
