Will of William H. Burton

In the name of God, Amen.

I William H. Burton of the town and county of Schoharie, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say

First, I give and devise to my Daughter Mary Elizabeth Burton, all my real estate of every name and nature whatsoever.

Second, I give and bequeath to my said Daughter Mary Elizabeth Burton, Two thirds of my personal estate goods and chattels.

Third, I give and bequeath to my wife, Melinda Burton one third of all my personal estate, goods and chattels to be accepted and received by her is lieu of dower.

Fourth. I do hereby appoint my Father Robert Burton sole Executor of this my last will and testament; hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of September 1858. - William H. Burton, L. S.

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was at the date thereof declared to be by William H. Burton the Testator therein named to be his last will and testament and he at the same time acknowledged to us and each of us that he had signed and sealed the same; and we therefore, at his request, and in his presence and in the presence of each other signed our names thereto as attesting witnesses.
