Mrs. William Empie Frederick Reynolds obituary

Mrs. Reynolds Passed Out At Noon To-Day
Taken With a Severe Stroke Ten Days Ago
She Came To This Place Forty-four Years Ago
She Was in Her Eighty-ninth Year
October 1926

To-day, October 20th, at 12 noon, came the death of Mrs. William Reynolds, at her home on Danforth Avenue, that had been hourly expected for more than a week. ten days ago she was taken with a severe stroke of paralysis and from the first, but little if any hope of her recovery was entertained. her son, lee Frederick and wife, were notified. Mrs. Frederick came at once and Lee, who was in Pennsylvania, reached here as soon as the trains would bring him. From the first Mrs. Reynolds was unconscious and had the best of care.
The death of Mrs. Reynolds takes from our midst a long time resident. Her maiden name was Empie and she was born in the town of Sharon 89 years ago. Some 44 years ago, as the wife of Peter H. Frederick, she came to this place from Cobleskill, her husband engaging in the undertaking business. two children came with them, a son and a daughter. The daughter a couple of years later was taken ill and died.
Becoming a resident of this place, Mrs. Reynolds soon made friends among old and young. Most of those who were of her age, she has lived long enough to see pass out and she has been left alone.
Mrs. Reynolds had been in poor health for several years. Besides her husband she is survived by her son, Lee Frederick of Albany, a grandson Lynn Frederick, and two granddaughters Beatrice and Ruth, all of Albany. She was a faithful member of the church.
The funeral will take place at the home Friday evening at 8 o'clock, private to the relatives and immediate neighbors. Burial will be made at the Slate Hill cemetery, town of Seward, by the side of her first husband. Friends may call at the house Thursday evening.
