Dr. Montgomery's Funeral

     Schoharie, Oct 13, Dr. R. W. Montgomery, whose sudden death occurred in the street of New York City. Was brought to Schoharie
for burial today in the Lutheran Cemetery. Dr. Montgomery was 57 years old and until recently practiced medicine in New York.
     He is survived by his wife who was Amella Brown, daughter of the late Russell Brown, of Schoharie also by two children, Mrs. St.
George Burgoyne of Canada and Graham Montgomery, of New York.

Notes: This article was in the Albany Evening Journal on Oct 13, 1916. R. W. Montgomery - is Richard W. Montgomery. Russell Brown
is the one known as HR Brown ( Horace Russell Brown) who with brother ZJ Brown ran the monument company - in Schoharie. Amella is also
buried in Schoharie as is Graham L. Montgomery and wife Ann Cook and Margaret Burgoyne and husband St. George Burgoyne.

Graham Montgomery's son Roger Montgomery passed away in 2003 and was the former dean of the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkely, an emeritus professor of both the architecture and city and regional planning departments.
