Jr. and Richard H. Thomas C. received at the international exhibition a medal and diploma, the latter dated September 27, 1876, for the best sample of hops. Father, Thomas Purcell, was born on the old homestead in Parish Ballagret.

G. S. N. Y.; wife Dorotha Bischoff, married in 1850; children seven - Maria, Albert, Matilda, Willie, George, Christian, and Annie.
