Raymond H. Brandow obituary

     Raymond H. Brandow passed away, suddenly, of a heart attack, Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1958, at his home in Gilboa. Masonic services by Gilboa Lodge No. 630, of which he was a member, were held, Friday evening, at the home. Funeral services were held Saturday, 2 PM, at the Gilboa Methodist Church with the Rev. Laurence Starr and the Rev. Philip Gehres officiating. Burial was made in the Manorkill Cemetery. The deceased, son of Harter and Grace (Wilkerson) Brandow, was born Dec. 9, 1906, at Conesville.
     Mr. Brandow and Miss Florence Hinman were united in marriage, June 22, 1928, after which they operated the family farm at Conesville until 14 years ago, when he purchased the former Wyckoff Garage at Gilboa, which he operated until the time of his death.
     Mr. Brandow was a member of the Gilboa Grange of which he was a past master; director and agent of the Schoharie-Schenectady County Mutual Fire Insurance Company, Deputy Sheriff, and a member of the Gilboa Methodist Church.
     In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Donald H. Brandow; a brother, Richard Brandow, Preston Hollow RD, and two grandsons, Donald M. and Larry D. Brandow.
