Last Will and Testament of Peter Dominick

In view of the uncertainty of this present life I Peter Dominick aged Sixty-nine years being weak and feeble in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same do make publish and declare this my last will and testament as follows to wit:

First, I give and bequeath unto my oldest Daughter Betsey M. wife of Paul Hubbard the sum of one thousand dollars to be paid to her out of my personal estate.

Second, I give devise and bequeath unto my second and third Daughters Emeline the widow of Ezra Zimmer and Ellen M. wife of Alvah Becker all that certain piece and parcel of land Situate in the town of Wright in the county of Schoharie and bounded Westerly by the highway Northerly by land of Alvah Becker Easterly and Southerly by Austen Becker containing three acres of Land more or less to have and to hold the same to themselves their heirs and assigns forever share and share alike each the undivided half thereof being the same premises now occupied by my son John J. Dominick.

Third, I give bequeath and devise unto my Son John J. all the residue and remainder of my estate real and personal to have and to hold the same to himself his heirs and assigns forever subject to the purchase and erection of a monument estimated to be worth one hundred dollars for me.

Lastly, I hereby appoint my Son John J Dominick my sole Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

Witness my hand and seal this twenty-second day of November AD 1869.

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was at the date thereof sealed published and declared by the said Peter Dominick as and for his last will & testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

I Wm. C. Lamont, County Judge of the County of Schoharie, do hereby certify that the within last will and Testament of Peter Dominick of Wright deceased was proved before me, on the 3d day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and 70 as a Will relating to both real and personal estate, pursuant to the provisions of the Statute of the State of New York in such case made and provided; and I further certify the said Will and Proofs taken in relation to the execution thereof, are recorded in the Surrogate�s office of the County of Schoharie, in Book of Wills, vol. 9, pages 1,2 , kept in my office for such purpose. In testimony whereof I, the said County Judge, have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Surrogate�s seal of the County of Schoharie this 2d day of January AD 1871,
