     Cooksburgh—Our community was greatly shocked and saddened Monday, Dec. 19, to hear of the sudden death of our esteemed citizen, Norwood J. Burhans. He was the only surviving son of George A. Burhans and Helen E. Smith, and was born on May 12, 1878. He was married to Cora L. Brand in Sept. 1898. Burial was made at Potter Hollow. He is survived by his wife, one daughter Mrs. Rose M. Tingue, and one granddaughter Barbara H. Tingue of Cooksburgh.
