Memorial Resolutions for Mrs. Marilla J. Johnson

A Memorial
July 1932

Many former associates in the Shoharie County Pomona Grange, as well as all the Patrons of Breakabeen Grange No. 767, are saddened by the death on June 4, 1932, at her home near Middleburgh, of Mrs. Marilla J. Johnson, wife of former Master John F. Johnson. The end came suddenly although Mrs. Johnson had been in failing health for the past nine months. Mrs. Johnson had been a member of Breakabeen Grange No. 767 for a long time. She was a woman of genial personality and sincerely devoted to the interests of the order, She gave freely of her strength for its promotion and is cordially remembered by her co-workers. She was greatly interested in everything that made for the good of rural life and energetically identified herself with every movement looking in that direction.
Whereas It has pleased our Heavenly Father in His all wise providence to call our beloved sister home, be it
Resolved, That we, members of Breakabeen Grange No. 767 of Breakabeen, bow in humble submission to the will of the Divine Father in calling our sister from earth to her eternal reward. In testimony of our loss we drape the charter in mourning for thirty days. To the bereaved family we extend our sincere sympathy in this, their great loss.
Resolved, That these resolutions be recorded on the minutes, published in the local papers, and a copy sent to the bereaved family. — Mrs. LeGrand Edwards, Mrs. Ford Mattice, Mrs. Willard H. Mann, Committee on Resolutions. Dated July 5, 1932.
