“Middleburgh, Feb. 4--Dr. Duncan
Best, Schoharie County coroner, has given a verdict of suicide in the case of
Mrs. Malcolm Warner, 29, who died of shotgun wounds in her home here yesterday
soon after her two daughters had gone to school.
State police said Mrs. Warner still was alive when
discovered in the family's Dexter Ave. home by her mother-in-law, Mrs. Grace
Warner, who lives nearby.
Dr. Wesley B. Andrew was summoned and he pronounced the
woman dead a few minutes later.
State police said Mrs. Warner the former Margaret
Brown, had been despondent over illness.
Survivors include her two children, ages 9 and 10, and
her husband, an employee of the North American Cement Co., at Howe's Cave. The
body was taken to the Palmer-Shaler Funeral Home.
Investigating were Troopers Richard Beckwith of the BCI,
J.J. Fogarty and Gus Valsemedis."
