Store
Mathias Bouck of Fultonham, Dies of Heart Failure While on His Way Home From
Fultonham
February 17, 1927
Mathias Bouck, who
resides just across the iron bridge at the farther end of the Dugway at the
point where the road turns off for Bouck's Falls, suddenly passed away Saturday.
He had been down to the store of Charles H. Rhinehart
at Fultonham to trade and was on his way home when he passed away. While at the
store he felt poorly and being in company with his grandson they immediately
started for home. He died before reaching home.
From youth up Mr. Bouck had been engaged in farming.
When a young man his father George L. Bouck owned the farm in this village now
in possession of Edgar Hulburt. He was of a family of four boys, Merriman,
Charles, George and Mathias. All as far as we recall have passed to the Great
Beyond.
For the past two score years or more Mr. Bouck owned
the farm on which he lived near Breakabeen. He was always a hard working
industrious man. he was upwards of 80 years of age.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, Alva and
Josiah.
