Mrs. Lela R. Lowell

      Herkimer - Mrs. Lela Ruth Lowell, 70, died Mar. 21, 1948. In her home, 319 Eureka Ave.
     She was born Feb. 7, 1878, in Schoharie County, a daughter of Lorenzo and Minnie Coons Snyder. She came to Herkimer as a girl and was married to Charles Lowell Dec. 5, 1894, in the Methodist parspnage. Mr. Lowell died in Novemberr, 1947.
     She attended the Methodist Church.
     Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Anna Riesdorph, Mrs. Bessie Tarbox, Mrs. Minnie Vanderwiel, Mrs. Myrtle Ropeter, all of Herkimer; Mrs. Mildred Luce, Utica, and Mrs. Marguerite Guyer, Mohawk; four sond, Raymond and Clarence, East Herkimer; Ralph, Herkimer, and Albert, Utica; two brothers, Burt, Long Island; Loren, Connecticut; several grand and great grandchildren, nieces and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
     The funeral will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday from the home. The Rev. Fred O Colnam, Methodist pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
