In Memoriam of Lydia E. Sisson

In Memoriam
February 1931

(In loving memory of our darling daughter, Lydia E. Sisson, who passed away Feb. 2, 1930.)
Dear little hands so still and white
Folded by strangers, out of sight.
Only those who have lost can tell
The griefs of parting without farewell.
We try to be brave little sweetheart
Soon we too from earth shall depart.
But dear little Angel, we miss you so,
Each day is the same wherever we go.
Although your place can never be filled
God needed you, your sweet voice is stilled.
Never to tell you, kiss you or have you
Is a longing too hard to subdue.
                                —Mama, Daddy and Grandma.
