Lewis B. Hamm obituary

February 2, 1922

     Lewis B. Hamm died at his home in this village on Monday, aged 79 years, following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Hamm was one of the few remaining veterans of the Civil War in this vicinity. He was a lifelong member of the Reformed Church and later of the Presbyterian Church. At the time of his death he was one of its oldest Elders, respected by all in the community. He is survived by two sons, Charles Hamm, of Brooklyn, and Frank P. Hamm, of Newark, N. J., and by two sisters, Miss Delia Hamm of this village, and Mrs. George M. Lawyer, of Fultonham. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 1 o'clock P. M., Rev. Albertson officiating. Interment in the Breakabeen Cemetery.
