Will of John Baker 

In the name of God, Amen. I John Baker of the town of Summit, in the County of Schoharie, and State of New York of the age of forty-nine years and being of sound mind and memory, do make, wish and declare this my last will and testament in the manner following, that is to say,

First, I give and bequeath to my wife Rachel all my real estate being in the town of Summit and provided as following in deed bearing date February the fourth in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven, excited by James S Martin and Jane his wife so long as she remains my widow.

Second, I also give and bequeath to my wife Rachel all my personal property of every name and nature, to have and to hold so long as she remains my widow.

Third, After the death of my wife or after she is no longer my widow, then the property of every name and nature is to be divided equally among my heirs namely, Egbert D, Eli J, Delight, Elsina and Ordele Baker. And I hereby appoint my wife Rachel Executrix and William Baker Executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness where of I have personally set my hand and seal, this twelfth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy one.
