John Fredenberg, Aged 75, North Harpersfield, Dies

Jefferson, Sept. 9—John Fredenberg, aged 75, of North Harpersfield, died at 7:30 Thursday evening in the Delaware Hospital at Delhi, where he had been a medical patient two days. Death was caused by cerebral hemorrhage.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 from the North Harpersfield Methodist church, Rev. Milton H. Ryan, his pastor, assisted by Rev. Donald T. Kell of Jefferson will officiate. Internment will be in the West Jefferson cemetery.

Born July 7, 1863, in Grand Gorge, a son of Hiram and Sally (Simonson) Fredenberg, he had been employed by the town highway department. He married the former Maggie E. Manchester, [in the] town of Harpersfield.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. James Peets of Maryland; one son, Leslie M. Fredenberg of Fort Plain; two sisters, Mrs. Fanny Dibble of Grand Gorge and Malinda Cornell of West Oneonta; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
