In The Matter of Awarding Letters of Administration Upon the Estate of Judson B. Lacy

To the surrogate�s court of the said county of Schoharie:

The petition of Alice W. Lacy residing in the town of Gilboa in the said County of Schoharie, respectfully shows that Judson B. Lacy late of the town of Gilboa in the said County of Schoharie, died in said town of Gilboa on or about the 20th day of March, 1902

That your petitioner has made diligent search and inquiry for a last will and testament of said decedent, and has not found any or obtained any information that he left any, and that to the best of your petitioners knowledge, information or belief, the said decedent died without leaving a will.

That said decedent was at the time of his decease a resident of said County of Schoharie.

That the following named persons, as far as they are known to or can be ascertained by your petitioner with due diligence, are the only next of kin and widow of the said decedent, him surviving and their relationship, ages and places of residence are as follows:

Alice W. Lacy Wife 54years of age residence � Gilboa

Henry W. Lacy Son 17years of age residence � Gilboa

That no right of action exists, granted to the administrator of the estate of the said decedent by special provision of law. The value of the personal estate of the said deceased id estimated at $250.00 and the value of his real estate is $1500.00

Wherefore your petitioner prays for a decree awarding the letters of Administration upon the estate of the said decedent, to your petitioner Alice W. Lacy and such persons, having right to such letters prior to or equal to that of your petitioner as this court may direct, be citied to show cause why such a decree should not be made, and that all such process and proceedings may be had and taken in this proceeding, to the end that letters of administration be granted upon the estate of the said decedent as the law may require.
