Breakabeen Man Buried Saturday
Had Been a Sufferer for Years. was Sixty-five Years Old
March 2, 1927

     Wednesday the little village of Breakabeen and community were shocked to hear of the death of Ira Van Wormer, although he had been in poor health and a sufferer for a long time. he died from that dreadful disease dropsy. Mr. Van Wormer was a kind hearted man and had a large circle of friends. Mr. Van Wormer was a farmer by occupation, born in the town of Fulton sixty-five years ago, on the old homestead, where he passed away. He was a strong democratic and for years filled the position of Assessor with credit to party. He was the third one of the family to pass out inside of a year.
     He leaves one son, Frank with his wife and daughter to mourn his loss. The funeral was held at the house on Saturday, Rev. A. J. Sunderland officiating. Burial in the family plot in the Breakabeen cemetery.
